A Kiss of Betrayal
by Hannah Bennett
You pull me close
You hand running through my hair
You kiss me on the lips
You caught me unaware
My body in a state of euphoria
I can't help but smile
You pull me back and look in my eyes
You loved me all the while
Then the feeling of guilt arrives
One persons' heart will break
You pull away from my arms
You say that I was just a mistake
Maybe I'm just a chance you have to take
But it's better this way
I know I would always be second best
So I turn to walk away
You turn me around and kiss me again
This isn't some stupid game!
I stop. Then I kiss you on the lips
I can't help but feel shame
I am tired of your twisted mind games
This relationship has to end
I walk away out of your life
And you go home to your girlfriend
