Welcome to the Game Reviews page, this is where reviews you write are listed! That's right, reviews that you make! I don't write these reviews, you do. So if you want your review to be on this page, just email me.

Starcraft is an RTS game (Real time strategy game), was created by Blizzard and released in 1998.
The setting of the game is some place out in space thousands of years in 'fast futuristic-type' spacecraft travelling time, away from Earth. The game has a pretty clever storyline.
Usually, the objective of the game is to destroy all your opponents' buildings, though missions can vary from that and often do in the single player campaign. Whilst playing for the usual goal however, you will aim to collect as many minerals and gas as possible in order to produce as much of whatever you require to overcome your enemy(s).
Like in many RTS games there are more than type of race you can use in this game: Terran (Humans), Zerg (Nasty looking aliens), Protoss (Less nasty looking aliens). Each of the three races plays wildly different to the others, and this variety of game play is quite astounding, even for the year this review was written - 2006, but back in 1998 the game was HUGE and got a best PC game of the year award by European computer trade show awards.
If your with the Terran, you will seek to use a diversity of units all working effectively together - Terran Marines and Firebats backed up with medics, along with the air support of a yamato gun firing Battle cruisers ground support of arclite siege tanks booming away. These of course are only a handful of the units from this race, but using this race it is a common sight of a good player to make use of a variety of units to form a strong cohesion.
Using the Zerg? It's all about mass numbers, ambushes and timing with these biological mishaps, so you'll need to churn out all kinds of weird and wonderful creatures, move them around well and know when and how to charge in with your hoards. Mind your overlords don't get killed though or you'll lose capacity to produce large forces.
The Protoss are the most advanced in technology race. They have some of the most powerful spells in the game and are the only race to have shields as well as basic hp. Protoss players often use fewer units than players of the other two races, however this does not mean by any stretch of the imagination that they require less skill, oh no. With this race you will have to learn how to psyonic storm your enemies to the max, recharge your units shields at the best times, master using the archons and templars, know how to construct huge air fleets in time and much more. With each race, there's so much to learn its mindboggling for such an old game.
In Starcraft, no unit is useless, each unit has it's own set of uses of which none are worth overlooking. The game is so incredibly balanced, and full of life, character and strategy; in my opinion it hasn't yet been matched by any other RTS game (even others from Blizzard).
The game is also very fast paced for an RTS game and has a particularly scary and moody dark space wars feel to it - this is yet another very lovable feature. For more information, visit www.sclegacy.com.
Let me tell you this, Starcraft II will be massive, if it is even anywhere close to this 8 year old game's standard.
