How to sort some problems that AOL have messed up or just got wrong.

Well, it depends on what you want really. If you're a family man, doesn't really use the internet and you want your Kids safe... go for it! Good value, good security features especially when used within the AOL Browser software only on the AOL Network...
And another good thing, even their basic broadband package is unmetered! Unlimited, no caps! Great! One of the few ISPs that do that. but with the silver package, you can only use it with ONE computer. Sucks, so no networking! Just upgrade to the gold package... but then only certain routers work apparently, and then it starts to get quite expensive.

Also, like most things now, the customer service is shit!!! Their call centres have moved to india, the online help is now a chat bot! So if you do have a problem online, it's just another bot (you might have used one of these on MSN) that can't actually help you . Great.

AOL - Let us screw you over

I do not want to be put through to some indian who claims to be called Joseph, but is actually called Nachiketa and just wants to confuse me. Then he calls me Nigel, Nigel?! I am not Nigel!
"Hi, i can't connect to the internet"
"ok nigel, so you are having troubles viewing pictures in AOL"
"no you piece of shit, 1. i am not called nigel, 2. i didnt even bloody mention pictures!"
"ok nigel, i have an email designed for your problem about pictures"
"grrrrrr"

i do not want to speak to an indian who can half-speak english, i want to speak to an under-educated englishman who knows the meaning of the phrase "screw yourself!"
